HELP AVAILABLE TO REDUCE ENERGY BILLS

Warm Home Discount Scheme

The Warm Home Discount Scheme is offering £140 off electricity bills for this winter of 2021-2022 between October and March. The Warm Home Discount is a scheme run by the government and energy companies. Customers that qualify will get a £140 discount off their electricity bill this winter. For those eligible, they will either receive a letter this winter from the Department for Work and Pensions or be able to apply directly for a discount from energy supplies. Every Household To Receive Up To £350 To Help With Energy Bills

As announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, households across the UK are to get up to £350 to soften the blow of the fast-rising energy prices.

Council Tax Rebate Of £150 In April To All Households In England In Council Tax Bands A to D.

The Chancellor has also announced a total of £565 million in funding for the Governments of Great Britain to provide for households. Read more.

£144 Million Discretionary Fund For Those On Low Incomes

This fund has has been set up to help those on low incomes who don’t qualify for the £150 support above because, for example, they’re exempt from council tax.

Priority Services Register

The Priority Services Register is run by energy suppliers and offers extra free services to pensioners, people who are registered disabled, have a hearing or visual impairment, or have long term ill-health. To apply, you need to sign up to your supplier’s Priority Services Register. If you have different suppliers for electricity and gas, you will need to register with each one. Get in touch with your supplier for more information and eligibility.
