Energy Advice

Easy to follow energy saving tips and advice this winter.

Home Heat Helpline existed to identify many thousands of customers who were struggling to pay their energy bills by providing free advice and support to those who were eligible.

For those struggling with the rising costs of energy bills, there would be a benefit of contacting your energy provider and seeking advice support too when it comes to helping you improve home energy efficiency. They may be able to offer a fixed rate, a payment plans, freeze accumulated debt for a period of time and in cases they may even notify you of any benefits you may be eligible for.

Supported by the 2023 Warm Home Discount Scheme from the UK Government, Home Heat Helpline help people to:

The government wants to help people to:

  • Identify the most competitive home energy tariffs.
  • Ensure they have fully insulated homes to help cut bills and reduce heat leak.
  • Attain a complete understanding of their household energy consumption with ways to reduce it.
  • Affordably replace any heating systems with cheaper and more efficient alternatives, or use solar energy to generate own electricity if possible.
